Team Xantusia is an international group of women that inspire and support each other to higher levels of athletic, personal, and professional goals. Our focus is on actively participating in the multisport community through networking, racing, and volunteerism. Members of our team aspire to achieve an amazing range of goals, from racing in Ironman triathlons to volunteering to helping young girls in athletics. We believe in enjoying the journey, celebrating at the finish line, and that investing in other people pays the biggest dividends.
What does Xantusia mean?
A Xantusia is a lizard found in the southwestern U.S. and is the name of the location of our annual training camp. Our motto, "Work Your Tail Off", comes from the sign outside of Xantusia in southern California. This place fits our team perfectly—you have to climb a steep and winding road to get there and at the top happens to be a hot tub.
